Yes, only use premium fuel. In VA and NY there is an additive in the regular and mid-grade that will dissolve the fuel lines and gaskets. The premium grade does not have the additive, benzine I think it is called. Run your mower completely dry at the end of the season to prevent fuel from coagulating in the tank. Also, a fuel stabilizer is a good investment for the fuel tank used to fill the mower. Good luck! RE: winter vs. summer, just because the refineries have switched doesn't mean the winter blend is available yet. It will take a few weeks before you get it in the station tanks.
